Be conscious of where your foot lands in relation to your body. Film yourself on a treadmill. Is your foot way out in front of you? Is your lower leg far from being perpendicular to the ground? Is your knee straight at impact?

In general, we’re less concerned of HOW your foot is making contact (heel strike vs forefoot strike) and more concerned of WHERE your foot is making contact (in front of you vs underneath your COG).

The nice thing about the AssaultRunner, is that it tends to make overstriding, and what we’re trying to avoid, harder to do.
